Geum bulgaricum

Geum bulgaricum

Tall and handsome plant, which was for a very long time known to be a Bulgarian endemic, until it was found in isolated localities in Albania. In Bulgaria it occurs only in Rila mountain. It is an alpine species, confined to siliceous rocks and rocky places. The flowering is in July and August. The species is strictly protected by the law.
