This one of the most remarkable local Bulgarian endemics, a glacial relict only known to occur in a small area in Northern Pirin mountain. The flowering period is in July and August. The plant is strictly protected by the Bulgarian law and included in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Bulgaria.
